Ballastless Track Systems
Ballastless track (also known as slab track) represents a state-of-the-art technology in railway infrastructure engineering. Instead of using a ballast layer to distribute loads and maintain rail alignment stability, this system employs a rigid superstructure, typically reinforced concrete slabs, to directly support the track system.

Product Features
The PORR Slab Track Austria (STA) system is manufactured as precast concrete slabs in a factory-controlled environment, enabling optimized quality control and accelerated on-site installation. With its adaptable and modular design, the system can be readily integrated with specialized noise & vibration mitigation and derailment protection solutions.
Minimum or no maintenance is needed during the design life cycle. In case outside factors necessitate it, convenient adjustment and replacement within engineering hours are possible. The design and construction approach maximize the utilization of locally available resources.
